HOW IT WORKS

 

Caribbean Gem is a non-toxic easy to use jewelry cleaning system made using natural ingredients, suitable for all jewelry both fashion and fine guaranteed to bring your jewelry back to life, using a blend of banana and coconut oils.

 

Simple Directions for use: Soak - Remove - Rinse - Wipe dry with cloth.

 

Step 1

The jars with the pink liquid are the Banana & Coconut Oil Jewelry Cleaner, which is used to clean your jewelry. To Use simply soak your jewelry in the Caribbean Gem jewelry cleaner, rinse with water and dry. Use the included Jewelry Brush to remove stubborn buildup under prongs, diamonds and gem stones. Caribbean Gem Jewelry Cleaner is Safe for All Jewelry including Opals, Pearls, and Costume Jewelry. Every order is sent with our Jewelry Cleaner Care Guide which gives detailed instructions on cleaning. Repeat cleaning as often as desired or needed.

Step 2 (when using polishing cream) or see Step 3

To remove tarnish or light scratches from silver, gold or other metals and to apply an anti-tarnish coating, apply Caribbean Gem Scratch and Tarnish Remover paste to a soft cloth, buff metals until scratches and or tarnish are gone, for best results repeat about once a month or whenever you notice your precious metals are getting dull tarnished and scratched. Finish by cleaning in Caribbean Gem Jewelry Cleaner.

 

Step 3 (when using polishing cloths)

 

To remove tarnish or light scratches from silver, gold or other metals and to apply an anti-tarnish coating, using a Polishing Cloth, lightly rub the gold or silver until scratches and tarnish have been removed and metal has a like new appearance. Finish by cleaning in Caribbean Gem Jewelry Cleaner. Polishing Cloths can be used over and over until no longer effective. Do not use on plated metals or gemstones.

 

Instructions for different types of Jewelry.

 

Precious & Semi-Precious Gemstones
Diamonds - Rubies - Emeralds - Sapphires – Amethyst - Tanzanite - Topaz - Garnet - Peridot – Tourmaline.

The above types of gemstones are generally mounted into a setting of gold, silver or platinum bands or chains.

If the type of gemstone you are cleaning is found in the list above, you may soak in the cleaner overnight for maximum cleaning results.

 

Soft Gemstones
Coral - Jade - Turquoise - Lapis - Tiger’s Eye - Onyx- Moon Stone.
The above types of gemstones are generally mounted into a setting of gold, silver or platinum bands or chains.

If the type of gemstone you are cleaning is found in the list above, you may soak in the cleaner for short periods of time, not to exceed 10 minutes.

 

Opals and Pearls
Opals and pearls require special attention, we suggest soaking for a short amount of time not to exceed 5 minutes.

 

Costume jewelry and Fashion jewelry
The above would be plated metals, synthetic stones, painted or enamel surfaces and plastics. The above types of jewelry are typically manufactured with use of glues, dyes and paint, although our cleaner is very gentle and safe for the above, we recommend that this type of jewelry be cleaned by hand and not allowed to soak.

 

Antique jewelry
Antique jewelry is typically known as an older piece of jewelry. It may consist of any combination of gemstones, synthetic stones, plastics or metals, although our cleaner is very gentle and safe for the above, we recommend that this type of jewelry be cleaned by hand and not allowed to soak.

 

Chains Bracelets and Metals
Our jewelry cleaner is safe and gentle on all metals. The above types of jewelry may be allowed to soak overnight.

 

Scratched or Tarnished Metals
Caribbean Gem jewelry cleaner (the pink liquid) is not a scratch or tarnish remover. Use Caribbean Gem Tarnish Remover Polishing Cream or Caribbean Gem Tarnish and Scratch remover Polishing Cloth 5 pack, to remove scratches & tarnish from metals, then follow by cleaning with Caribbean Gem Jewelry Cleaner.

 

Watches
If the watch is waterproof, submerge in cleaner and allow to soak, if not waterproof, soak band only, use soft bristle brush to assist.

 

Glasses
Our jewelry cleaner is safe and gentle on all types of glasses. To remove excessive oils, submerge glasses into cleaner and allow to soak for 5 minutes, for daily cleaning of lenses, apply cleaner to lens with fingers, rinse with water and dry with soft cloth.


Question) What is the difference between the polishing cream and polishing cloths?

 

Answer) The polishing cloths come pre-impregnated with the polishing cream and are quick and convenient for cleaning most all types of jewelry. Where as the polishing cream may not be as quick and convenient as the pre-impregnated polishing cloths, but it does have certain advantages, for example, when you want to remove tarnish and scratches from hard to reach areas such as between the links of a chain or necklace, or between intricate mountings, the cream can be applied directly to the item to be cleaned and a soft brush can be used to aid in removing the tarnish and scratches, or the polishing cream can be applied to a soft cloth and used similar to the pre-impregnated cloths. Either way you will be amazed at the results!
